This 10 ga. double had Manton engraved on the locks along with a game bird motif. It is serial number 644 as stamped on the underside of the barrels. This serial number would indicate a relatively early gun. This gun is available as a collector gun only for $650.00.

Barely visible in the picture is an old repair above the lock. This type of repair usually occurred when the mainspring broke under tension and damaged the wood. Also, note the replaced hammer screw, again an old replacement.

Each barrel is banded with inlays of either platinum or gold.

This pit goes all the way thru the barrel. Overall, both barrels are rough inside and would require sleeving and subsequent proofing if one desired to shoot them. The ribs are solid.
