The "Turkey Gun" was a presentation piece given to an old friend to many. It was created strictly from donations of money, parts, and labor. TVM donated the stock blank. Jackie Brown donated the hardware. The Colerain oct/round, swamped, smoothbore barrel was purchased. It was their super full-choked 20 ga. model. Likewise, the John Twigg lock by R. E. Davis was purchased, as was remaining incidental hardware. Noted riflesmith Ron Paull created the gun and sent it to me "in the white." I took it to Spike Hale, formerly of Narragansett Armes, who did the modest engraving. I then did all the wood and metal finishing. The powder horn was done by Jim Emerson of Rushville, IN. The guncase was made by Mike Nesbitt.

The ramrod was tipped with ivory and horn.
